Laamu

The largest island in the Maldives, Gan has a huge land mass with endless greens and blues perfect for an explorer.

Bodufengandu is a pond encroached by Kinbigas (Box Fruit Trees) and Randhoo (Red Mangrove). The area is home to Dhandifulhu Dhooni or White-tailed Tropicbird and Findhana (Common Sandpiper).

Goatha Miskiy area is historically significant in that it has the graves of Edhuru Umaru Maafaiy Kaleyfaanu, who was a famous scholar who lived in the area and Hassan Thaajuddeen’s Father Gamu Raiybe, who was also a scholar. 

With such a rich history there is so much you can experience in Gan from relaxing on white sandy beaches, snorkeling on our house reefs to joining a survival tour in the jungle.
